Welcome to the Owens Web Site
Owens Group Limited operates as a domestic and international transport and freight forwarding business. Located in New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific Islands and the United Kingdom, we have 37 branches throughout these countries.

The company has a proud history, being founded by the late Sir Robert Owens in 1953. In the 1970's it emerged as a national player and went through a period of major diversification.

In 2003 Mainfreight Limited brought a 79.6% stake in the business and consolidated the operations back to the core activity of transport and international freight forwarding. In July 2005, Mainfreight acquired the remaining shares.

In conjunction with Mainfreight, Owens provide a full range of logistics, alongside excellent transport and freight forwarding services, all linked with sophisticated technology and computer services.
